Things Fall Into Place

I have a plan. A great plan. It involves a train pass, and all the places I want to visit. It includes camping. And visiting friends and relatives. Amtrak and Via Rail (Canadian rail system) have a 30 day rail pass. I played with schedules, and after biking the hills with Tom, I'll catch a train from Grand Island. Out to California, up to Crater Lake, up then to Montana for more camping, to Seattle, Vancouver, across Canada to Toronto, down to Chicago (using a bus to actually cross the border heading north from Winsor to Detroit), Madison (well, Wisconcin Dells), Twin Cities to see relatives I keep promising to see, back to Chicago and south home. Making Tom pick me up in KC because I have to end travel by midnight, and the train reaches Lawrence at 1230 am. My kitties will miss me. I promise to blog my little heart out. I'm now terribly hyped, because this is just what I need. Living on the train.
