Hmm..

This article has me pondering things. Mostly what a slippery slope the military sponsoring chaplains is. I was often surprised it worked as well as it did, considering how little trust I have for organized religion. We won't even get into the use of chaplains as psychs. But for the most part, everyone just accepted the chaplains, no matter what their religion. Maybe because we so rarely had one onboard. Most of my exposure was talking the Father who was at the O-Club most nights, drinking wine and playing his slot machine. The difficulty in this case seems to be having a guy who views god as his ultimate boss, who unfortunately isn't in his administrative chain of command.

Other than that, weather is nice, if still a bit chilly. I went out to the Art in the Park, and didn't see anything I terribly needed. A tempting scarf, but passed. And had an Indian taco. Yumm..

Oh, and went out last night with Tom and the Kings to see Hitchiker's. Better than I feared, considering the reviews. I think I actually liked the plot differences. Hitchiker's is somewhat of a fluid story (I know three slightly different versions - radio play, books and BBC TV version) so it made sense to alter it to fit this storytelling method. And the heavier romance element. Good to hang out with old friends.
