I Think My Job Uses Up All My Talking

affrecaExcept for right after I leave work. High on solving problems. I'm doing decent, if my call time is a bit high. And I think I've decided exactly when I'm quitting. Not a good way to think about things, but, I need some time this summer. No big travel planned, but several smaller trips. I think I will actually go to Lilies this year, and hang out the the Svathy SCA crowd, if they'll have me. Take classes and chatter with people. At some point do a weeklong bike trip, either the Katy Trail or the Mickelson. And the much promised trip with Brianne, if I ever get to getting permission from her parents. And anything else that comes up.
Found a house to rent. 4th and WI, if that means anything to you. Two story farmhouse, with an extra lot for a garden. Shed, basement (very low, and dank) and attic, so finally enough room. Listed as four bedrooms, but two of those are quite small. Plan is for Jorge to have one of the big bedrooms, use the other as a general library/study room (all three of us will be grad students) and me and Tom each get a smaller room for our personal space. We handed in the lease and deposit last night and we'll be moving in early August (waiting to hear when the previous tenant is moving out so we don't have to much of a problem with our current leases ending July 31 and the new one starting August 1). Space, and my own walls. Yet not as empty as my place in Japan.
Another beautiful day, so off to bike to work. I didn't get a chance all last week, or for the first couple of days this week, and I missed it. Got to save gas.
