Another Silly Day
Survived. I am now officially a quarter century old. Hmm... thanks everyone for the cards (and tower of chocolate). My throat is sore, and I'm not sure if I am getting sick (something I can't do anything about) or from talking to much. I apparently give out all the information, but should be more empathetic. Which I need to be, but I really don't know what to say when you are asking about residency requirements because you are considering divorcing your husband because he has alcohol problems. "I'm sorry" or "Dump the bastard, you might as well wait the extra two years before filing for citizenship" ?
And then there was the train. I love trains, but the tracks cross my route home twice. So I waited for about 5 minutes at the first crossing, and then moved to the second. Since I drive faster than the train, it was still at the second intersection. And five cars from the end, it stopped. As long as it was moving I didn't mind. I like looking at containers on trains. I'm not like the old men Tom mentions who get in trouble for taking photos of trains, but containers are theese amazing boxes that can come from anywhere. After about half an hour of waiting, I decided "F*** it" and did the 10 point turn to redirect my wee beastie.
Heard from UW geology. They like my application, but don't know what to do with me (direct quote). What sort of program to do for a girl who wants to be a librarian? Hmm.. I have to figure this out, I guess. We'll see.
