Huygens Baby

affrecaIt should be no surprise to you all that the biggest news for me today is Huygens' landing on Titan this morning and the pics coming back. Short of pictures of aliens inspecting the lander, this is everything I'd hoped. I really shouldn't be excited over pebbles, but I am. And river beds (at least that's what it looks like to me, I am eagerly awaiting what the experts say). Much cooler than sed beds on Mars. These are rounded!
Ok, I shall get on to the rest of my day. Dyed my hair red last night after I had it trimmed. I think it turned out pretty well, though since I did it myself, the back is not as red as the front. Shrug, it's not as if I'm trying to impress anyone. But it feels nice, especially since reading Pearson's dress code, I should not be chewed out for this dye job.
I am invited to try my neighbor's attempt at Indian food tonight. Pete got Tonya two cookbooks and all the spices needed. As I love such food, I'm all for being a guinea pig. And try out a couple of recipes in my cookbook. So I've made Mint-Cilantro Chutney and Potato Patties. Which required spices I don't have. Time to run to Checkers, which is always dangerous. I also needed some staples (soda, milk and cheese goop). Checkers had this great spice display of small jars for $0.69 and I decided that it was time to pick up some of the minor spices that I don't have - like sage and thyme and cumin. My spices no longer fit on my spice rack. Time to invest in another shelf, I guess.
