Sore Ear for a Kitten

Today was my last day this work week. Yeah, I can sleep at night again. I survive just fine, I just kinda miss night sleep. And I have weird dreams when I sleep during the day.

Called Fred's Tuneup, and they have a backlog, so my truck hasn't been looked at yet. Then I got an appointment for Lou at three. I borrowed Tom's car to get there. They also had a bit of a backlog, but after 20 minutes we got in. Lou just sat and occasionally mewed at me. Not a big fan of the vet's office. As soon as we got in, it was obvious what part of her problem was. The little bit of gunk that had been in her ears had become a lot of gunk in the last few hours. The vet's theory is that she was scratching herself because she had an ear infection. She has been pawing at the ear a lot. So he gave me some gunk to put in her ear once a day and gave her a shot to sooth her sore neck. I am supposed to come in on Friday for a follow up. I hope this works, because she hasn't been herself today. Quiet and shaky.

I went to the Merc (local organic/health food store) last night for some calcium supplements. Way to many choices on the market. I bought the ones they recommended (partially because it said they weren't to large - they were to large). I also picked up some great looking recipes, mostly for soup. I have a new pot and a new crockpot to break in. I am trying to decide between cauliflower cheese chowder or creamy sweet potato soup. I might pick up fixings for both. Or maybe cabbage potato soup. So many choices.
