Spinning Season
Jun. 28th, 2021 07:09 pmWell, it's Tour de Fleece season. Despite heavy socializing (Dovekie is in town for the week), I managed to spin 3+ ounces of singles on Saturday. Still haven't decided if it's going to be a two ply, or I spin up the extra 3 ounces of green and make it a three ply.
I'm planning on starting on spinning down the stash of buoy fiber. Hipstrings has isn't making any more (her source for dyed BFL dried up), so what I've got is what I've got to work with. After two rounds of sampling, my plan is from the fold 3-ply, but we'll see. I wasn't ready to commit yesterday, so I started spinning the sample of merino for an eventual North Shore. I wasn't happy with the two tries I did as three ply, so maybe it should be a two ply.
