Had my annual work eval today. I expected to be rated well, because I generally have been at this job, but it was better than expected. I feel as though I can't say much in public, because that would be bragging. And I generally I think I'm lazy and not worth it. Thankfully, Lawnchair is in the same position (just at a job that is slower about doing evaluations, as though his was due in January, it finally occurred this week).
I was not brave enough to ask if I was up for a out of cycle raise or bonus, largely because I'm still boggled that's could be a think working for the government. I feel like such a midwesterner. Therefore, sushi for dinner tonight to celebrate.

Thank you. Like many others, my first career job* was not a good fit for my personality, leaving me continually boggled that I'm good (or at least my boss thinks so) at this one.
