Just found out my uncle passed away last night from covid-19. He had a kidney transplant about ten years ago, so high risk category. He leaves behind a wife and four children, two still living at home.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm dreading the day when it's no longer "I know someone who lost someone" to losing someone I know directly.

Thank you. I'll admit that I was not close to him, just enough offset in years that he was an young adult when I was a kid, and I moved away when he came back home. But then, my mom just lost her baby brother, and there's going to be hole every holiday.

Yeah, that's the hardest part. I haven't gone back to sis's after my brother-in-law passed away a couple of months ago, but the next visit is going to be very strange without his presence; all my memories of their house have him there.
