Fibruary Day 5

affrecaUnprecedented, I teleworked for a second day. My normal ride wasn't running due to the parade, and I really didn't want to drive (and park) myself. I pretty much finished the report I said I would, so good on me.
I plied my Jacob samples and started card rolags for my class project. I am going to need to vacuum when I'm done, so much veg matter is falling out. Better falling out that in the yarn? I also balled my southdown sock yarn and cast on the first row so I have a commute knitting project. I also plied four mini skeins that I had spun last month, clearing off the last of my bobbins!
Since I'm not feeling the combo draft blend, I decided to sample for my next big sweater project - Storm clouds. I drum carded 2+ pounds of merino, alpaca and scraps in various shades of blue and grey. The pattern I'm thinking about using is Wild Grains, but I'm not sure I will have enough. My rough estimate is 1900 yards, which is short of the 2300 the pattern calls for. Shrug. Other patterns can be found.
Tomorrow is Yarn Barn's spin in. Hopefully I can exchange with a new friend the Scorpio colorway (and sticker) I got for the Pieces colorway. Happily we received the other's zodiac so all can be made right.
