We're flying into Boise and driving to Yellowstone, so I already have Craters of the Moon on my list for the first day. Because rocks! And I've loved the geomorphology of the Snake River Plain for years. It always catches my attention in topographic maps of the US, it is so distinctive.
As for EBR-I, thanks for pointing it out. We'll be driving down Highway 20, so it's not more than a mile out of our way. Sadly, according to their website they're only open Memorial to Labor Day. I do have a tour scheduled for B Reactor at Hanford because nuclear power is fascinating. (Sadly, we won't be around for the monthly tours of LIGO at Hanford).
