And I have added to the dying of LJ by barely posting at all recently. I'd say life is boring, but I've had a couple of exciting bits of news that I posted on FB already.
First - I passed the Fundamentals of Geology exam and have a piece of paper that names me a intern geologist. Whee.. It is the first step in becoming a licensed geologist, which would help in applying to jobs in the future. The next step is wait two years until I have my four years experience and can take another exam. Mostly it just makes me feel good. Useful or not, one of my skills is taking tests, and I was afraid I'd lost it. But apparently all I needed was to cram for a week. Sadly, I still don't know if my coworker passed or not, and thus have been quiet at work about it.
Second - I finally bought plane tickets for a two week vacation in Japan in March. I really wanted to travel again, and this is what I decided on. Lawnchair is coming with me (as he hasn't been off the continent before), but is leaving the planning to me. I'm still working out where all to go.
December is also a month of anniversaries. Fourteen years since Lawnchair and I started dating, four years married. Two years since Don passed, I started my job and we rolled the truck.
