Because There's Room on the Bookshelves*
Oct. 7th, 2011 10:06 pmHit the library booksale this evening. Tonight was full price night, and I somehow spent $25. Apparently, I've gotten picker when it comes to SF/F books. There were some that I might pick up if they're still around on bag night.
Instead, I hit the craft section hard. In previous years, when I haven't gotten there until bag night, I've found it picked over. This year I found some gems^: a thin booklet on kumi himo from 1977 described on Amazon as "not for beginners", a booklet of 17th century knitting patterns (written by Plimouth recreaters), and a book of sock patterns from Spin-Off Magazine.
*This is a lie. I need to either: move the craft books to the craft room, the travel guides to Lawnchair's office, or box up my gaming books. The nonfiction shelf current extends to a pile on the chair.
^And a book on making banners, which might be useful for someone's purple project.
