Merry Christmas!
Dec. 25th, 2010 10:37 amAs a lapsed pagan, Christmas has never been about religion to me. It is a convenient scheduled break to spend time with family, much like Thanksgiving. So I'm a little sad that this is the second Christmas in a row that I spend mostly with Lawnchair only.
But we're driving over soon to spend time with Nora, and she's the family that we need to spend time with right now. While I hadn't meant for marriage to make a difference in our relationship, temporally it coincided with a deepening of our connection. So I'm grateful that we are here for each other through times like these.
Oddly enough, I'm grateful for facebook. It helps me stay connected to family, even when I'm away from them (and by family I include my old Svathy friends). I want to see deformed Christmas cookies, and hear about sleeping babies.
Merry Christmas.
