Baklava

C and baby came down for a visit. We went out for lunch, then decided to cook. As many of you might know, Baklava is my favorite dessert, and C is a Baking Mistress. I shall be eating it for quite a while. I also started a batch of split pea soup. The peas are taking forever to soften. I finally managed to make a half batch of soup, so I won't have to suffer long.

Discovered another way to combat bad moods - excessive math (I might have known this before, and forgotten. I'm like that). Is it bad that studying fluid dynamics acts like an upper on me? It almost makes me want to study geology next year, if they let me near equations. Not having as much luck with chapter 2 today, but working through a problem last night had me bouncy. I got to differentiate and all. I think I finally grok viscosity. Yeah, I'm a nerd girl.

Baklava I haven't had that in ages. One of the ladies at work used to make it but she doesn't work here anymore.
Math to combat bad moods. hmmm. I don't think that would work for me. I think it would just make me more mad.
