Cat is Still Alive

A week ago, I couldn't sleep or bring myself to call home because I knew Grok wouldn't be around when I got home. I'm now hopeful that she might not be dying. Still not sure what lead her to stop eating. Provided it isn't some serious underlying cause, she might just live. Today, she came out of her corner and rolled over to show off her belly for pettings. She was also pretty damn spry when Lawnchair brought out the crack toy (cardboard on wire, has been her favorite pretty much since we got her). Sadly, catnip is not pot, and she did not succumb to munchies. We're still feeding her five times a day (every four hours with a eight hour break for night time sleeping for us) but..

A girl can hope.

Sorry about Grok - sounds like you and T. have been doing your best. Over at the balloon-juice.com comments in the open threads, since John Cole is a dog and cat person, the regulars talk about when their pets are sick. One said he still really missed his cat from 18 years ago. All your attention might make the difference for Grok.

I am so glad to hear she seems to be feeling better. Big Ol' Gay Cat went through a stage where he wouldn't eat, and the vet couldn't figure out what was wrong, and he came through it, so hopefully Grok will come through it just as well.
