Holding Out for the Light
Nov. 3rd, 2008 08:53 pmI'm anxious about tomorrow. My last two experiences with presidential elections haven't turned out well. But I'm hopeful about this one, more hopeful than I was before. Partially because the numbers are better, hopefully because the candidate is a bit more inspiring (I prefer Gore in the "elder statesman" role, he's funny in Futurama).
And I need it. I feel the darkness creeping. Death all around - echoing itself. Tough beloved grandmothers. Cars (I found out about an exclassmate who was hit while biking right after getting back from Jersey). Halloween and time change on successive nights. Scary exciting things are happening with
lawnchair (good things - but scary because I'm commitment shy).
I want to hope.
