New Normals

At the end of the day today, got an email stating that "Work 2.0" is being paused. Work 2.0 is the buzzwordy phrase the higher ups decided on to use for our post covid office schedule - Tuesdays and Wednesdays are required in the office, with one more required office day (I picked Thursdays) and up to two days telework (Mondays and Fridays). The office happens to be in one of the states with low vaccination and high covid.

Which makes me laugh because I have a meeting with former vanpool coordinator to take over that position. I really don't want to drive myself, but no one else is stepping up for coordinator. Our last one took a new position that means she'll be splitting her time between working from home and working from city five hours away.

Current knitting is a hat (to give away, just wanted a portable project). In theory I'm still working on a cardigan, I've just lost steam for it. Spinning is a pullover worth of some brown/blue braids of merino which I'm combo drafting. Also, not moving terribly fast on. I'd like to be inspired and figure out a project to bring for road trip vacation coming up.

Since I'm teleworking today, I'm taking an hour off to go to the bank to set up the transfer of large amount of money to bank that hold the mortgage.
