We're Fine
Feb. 13th, 2012 08:46 am1. Nobody got hurt.
2. Finally Winter here.
3. Car Shopping time
I had my work physical scheduled this morning at 7:30, so I needed to drive in this morning. Lawnchair was willing to drive me as it is snowing. The driver in front of us hit a semi, and bounced off the front right of the Corolla. We pulled over to wait for the nice overworked HiPo. After taking our information and version of events, he told us we were free to go unless we wanted to wait for a tow truck. The poor car restarted fine, and the front right wheel didn't scrape to bad so we drove home. I called to cancel my appointment (I'm waiting for a call to reschedule) and told the office I was taking a vacation day (Lawnchair could have gotten me to the office and I could take the van home, but I didn't trust the Corolla to make it the rest of the way in and back to Lawrence). My plan is to eat breakfast (I had been fasting for the physical) and bath. Later I shall start carshopping, as it just not worth fixing the frame on a 16 year old car with almost 200,000 miles.
