Went to a panel this morning, called strong or stroppy? It was written up as mostly about strong female characters in paranormal romance being annoying or actually weak, but discussion was mostly about all sorts of female characters. At one point Jennifer Stevenson was describing the opening of a romance novel, where the heroine finds a pair of crotchless panties under the seat of her husband's car. From the front row, Tamora Pierce pipes up with "Why did she take them off if they were crotchless?" A very true question.
