Progress on Queen's Prize Project
Oct. 2nd, 2011 09:13 pm-Third sample hood was finally big enough. Apparently the correct multiple is 13. Sample hood became fancier than expected - I sewed it by hand, and am now decorating the edges with lucet cord.
-Mordanted warp threads with alum. Dyed with weld. Currently soaking as the dyebath cools, will rinse tomorrow.
-Dyed weft thread with woad. Dyeing is uneven. Maybe Solan is right and that I ran out of woad in the dyebath, because successive dips did not get the lighter spots. I might set up the dyepot next weekend and try to even out the color.
-Watched Lawnchair mount the living room speakers. We have surround sound! Which I will use to watch more Korean dramas.
