Cod In a Bat Romance
Nov. 29th, 2010 07:34 pmChatting with Lawnchair about my virtual fish (Fishville is the primary reason I have facebook), and I got Wishmaster stuck in my head (talking about the Fish Mastery minigame). Except, I only know the misheard lyrics to it, the Fishmaster version. Which lead to watching more misheard lyrics versions of songs (as in the title of this post), and further to realizing while there aren't many lyrics in Pokerface, "bluffing with my muffin" is still a winner.
In other news, I have returned from the far north. I did not drive the truck up due to ice on Wednesday, so I did not pick up the hutch. I did get a 16 place set of china, a yellow bowl and 30+ year old spices (mine because my birth father had given the rack to my grandparents. The age is a guess due to how long he's been gone).
I am getting more confident with cooking. Last night I had steamed dumplings (from Jade as Lawnchair is sick), and saved the dipping sauce. Today I marinaded a steak in the leftover sauce for 4 hours, then pan fried it. The sauce was reheated, thickened with flour, and flavored with onions fried in drippings after the steak was done. Cooked two baked potatoes in the microwave and dinner was tasty.
Exposure to cold (and lack of clean shirts) got me to swap out winter clothes for summer. Found a couple of shirts suitable for work (hopefully), so I'm actually doing well. Should still do laundry tomorrow.
