What I've Been Making

Recent crafting has been limited by the heat and lack of central air. Combined with finding the right yarns on sale, and I've been playing with card weaving again. Just finished a length of my favorite spiral pattern in grey and blue wools. Next up is brown and blue silk. See, I found a couple of balls of silk yarn at Goodwill last night. The yarn is thicker than I wanted to weave with, but can easily divided finer (it is a cable of 10 2-ply). Each 2-ply is as thick as the 60-2 silk samples I have (about sewing thread thickness). New experience. Will post pictures later.

Hopefully with the cooler temps from tonight's rain, I can weave downstairs tomorrow morning. Get that project off the loom.
