More Distractions
Jul. 12th, 2010 04:02 pmFirst off - so buying a bigger crockpot for dyeing next time I see one at Goodwill or a garage sale.
Almost finished making two linen skirts last weekend. I suspect I got so much done because I had no Lawnchair to distract me, and two series of anime to get through. Though some of it is because I discovered one of those truths I should have known long ago - it is easier to cut on a table than the floor. Especially with my table proving straight lines to use as rulers.
So I decided to try a silk skirt. Except the habotai I have is white, and I should dye it before I sew it, right? And off to find instructions on dyeing silk with fiber reactive dye. But I'm to lazy to do so in my dye pots, so out comes the crock. We'll see if this works (as there isn't much room in the pot).
