It might be winter, but we're having a thunderstorm.

Lemon Cordial out of Lemons

Staying home for the week gives me time to play with the new toy. After finishing a rug on the HeirLoom, I rearranged the craft room so the Loom of Doom is the nice TV watching location and the Heirloom is off in a corner. Lawnchair helped me unfold the loom from its transport form. It worked out pretty good (other than how to reattach the front brake) its final form not matching the diagram of the model I thought it was (and which is written on the front and side of the loom). I shall email Leclerc after the new year to see if they know what model it is. I also have to fiddle with the pedal to frame attachment, as it does not match the diagrams of any the Leclerc models. I have a couple of ideas how to do it (and Lawnchair several more ideas), but I'm not sure which is sturdiest. Hardware store run might be in order for tomorrow.

With hope that it will be sorted out soon, I started measuring the warp for my first project. I think I will try a sampler close to the one I made in class. Let my first project be simple. Found that Princess Tutu* is wonderful weaving watching, giving me a rhythm to work with as I fill the warping board.

*Had The Nutcracker on last night for a while. Kept having Princess Tutu flashbacks. I have no appreciation for culture apparently.
