Lawrence Planned Parenthood has decreased their hours. They are now only open 2 days a week. They still have as many customers, so expect it to be a lot more busy, and slower to get service. My depo shot took 30+ minutes today, compared to <10 minutes normally. Since I'm a settled and have real health insurance, I'm thinking of starting with a general practitioner when I need my next pap. Anyone you guys like?

We have changed our feeding method for Grok. She's not exactly eating on her own, but several times a day we are putting her in the feeding corner (where we'd been force feeding her so she couldn't run away) and placing a bowl of gushy food in front of her. She'll eat for a while and then try to get away. We place the food bowl back in front of her and she eats again. This repeats until she's eaten enough. Much less stressful and much neater.

The missing tooth is not a problem. It looked well healed to the vet (though I swear she had it Sunday morning) and not swollen. He doesn't think that was what put her off eating. He's more worried about her throwing up and scratching, but it is a return to normal habits to me. I might try giving her some Zantac and see if that helps with both.

She gained half a pound since her last visit, which seemed to amaze the vet. Cats who are orange don't often gain half a pound, especially without a feeding tube. Well behaved cat + cat whisperer (Lawnchair) = weight gain. We ordered a digital scale so we can monitor her weight, and hopefully catch any issues before she changes color. Might as well keep an eye on the other cats (might help when I try to get Lju and Bear back on a diet).

We have taken this all as a sign gotten rid of the second litter box (because the dining room is the worst place for a litter box normally, but it was near were Grok had her lurking spot) and food bowl.

My biggest worry is that there is still something deadly underlying Grok's eating issues, and I've gotten hopeful to early. But I can't leave in fear, so I'll just love her the best I can (helped by the fact she's become a serious bed cat).
