Two Great Tastes
Feb. 16th, 2009 07:32 pmDespite the fact it is in the middle of its own series, Rosemary Kirstein's Outskirter's Secret should be read in conjunction with Katharine Kerr's Snare. Both are lost colony books pretending to be fantasy. Both deal with balencing Earth life with the local life. Both have men who lie to in order to join and travel with nomads. Argh. Someday I'll get a good compare and contrast essay written about them, or a fun panel.
