What I Do For Fun
Feb. 17th, 2007 08:11 pmWell, my hardcovers and manga are all entered into my Library Thing. Email me if there's anything you want to borrow. Next up is the paperbacks, and shelving the ones that aren't put away.
Oh, and I haven't mentioned my Thursday night fun. At cosplay, waiting to go pick up
lawnchair, I got a call from Caleob. Apparently it was Sam's birthday, and various Lylemen were gathering for Brainville (trivia game) at Johnny's. Would we be interested? So picked up boy and drove to N. Lawrence. Waited a bit, as we were the first there. Saw Ben's old roomate running the sound, didn't talk to him. I was on the team "Dick Beaver's Pinball Palace" with Nick, Caleob, Keith and Tom. Smart people. We were ahead for most of the game, losing after the final round because we bet to much and nobody knew anything about the Grammys. Quite a lot of fun. The most surprising (to my teammates) knowledge I had was celtic first names (Scottish version of John, Irish version of James). Go SCA!
So, are there any Larryvillers reading this that can stay up late Thursday nights (11 or so) and join me on a team? Pop culture knowledge is a plus. Money is involved ($5 fee per person, winning team splits the pot).
