Some Days I'm Glad I Don't Have Cable

Because then I would be ranting. Well, more than I am from trying to grade quizes (is it so hard to decide if the mineral is salty? Apparently). A few months ago, I noticed a sticker on the the latest Kathy Reich novel saying that the series was being turned into a TV show on Fox. Sounded fun. Well, I didn't watch it, through a combination of not having Fox and forgetting about it (I've lost the habit of TV). After reading this article in slate, I'm glad I didn't. Damn Americans, who couldn't handle a show set in Franco-phone Canada (I was hoping for subtitles). Oh, and making the main character an author, cute.

Otherwise, I debating whether or not I'll drive home this weekend. It has been a while, so I should. But I've had a headache for a couple of days, and am a bit behind in things, with two tests next week and a class presentation. Also, the truck's in the shop, and should be done by tomorrow. The brakes were not working well. I'm spending to much money as it is.

Teaching is interesting. I keep reminding myself to stay amused, not annoyed. And for the most part I am. I do my best, but they have to put in the effort. And some of them aren't. So I'm highly amused.
