I was raised to leave religion alone. Sure, learn what other people believe, but find your own truths and never force your beliefs on others.

But Creationism is something different to me. Maybe science is my religion, but there are some self evident truths out there, that don't rely on a multiply translated, multiply edited book. And I think people should learn about that in public schools. Questioning it is good, but I hate arguments that don't make sense.

So next time I get into an evolution discussion (which is almost never, because I keep these things to myself and most geologists take evolution as a given for unknown reasons), I shall watch for these arguments.

So, if you want to be a successful creationist, keep your facts straight.

Got my unwanted pregnancy vaccine (as it was labeled in sickbay). Dratted civilians shot it in my behind. I think HMs are just to shy to do that for women unless necessary. But that is one less thing to worry about for a while. Next one is due on Dad's birthday. And I need to buy calcium supplements, and problem the Navy never bothered to mention.

Got recommendation letters and transcripts together for my UW MLIS application. Well, Gosse is supposed to send his directly to the school. I just have to finish my essays. Trying to decide if I should use my travel as the basis of my self assessment essay (where I describe something that shows my maturity, flexibility and self-reliance) or for my essay about the experiences that influence my desire to become a librarian. I have to get it all done by Sunday, so it can go out in the mail Monday (and I will be in Eudora for training all day).

Today I learned that cat's have deciduous (baby) teeth like humans do. Barry has a large fang pointing sideways out of his mouth. I was worried that he had ripped it loose somehow, and I'd have to pay to take him to the vet. Then I noticed he had another fang right behind it. Apparently this worries many other cat lovers, because most of the top webpages in the google search for "cat teeth" are advice to owners freaking out. I figure if it still attached tomorrow I'll help it out with a pair of pliers.

At least he didn't get his head stuck in the garbage disposal.
