So yesterday I took a bike tour of Berlin. Quite fun. Today was the Pergamon Museum. I am so more into old artwork, then modern stuff. Maybe because I like patterns and designs, and good craftsmanship rather than images. Just me. I will write more when my head does not hurt. Going out with roomate for food (caffeinefor me). Plan is to take the night train to Gdansk tomorrow, then onto Warsaw the next day. I mostly just want to say I have been to Gdansk, and I want to pick up some amber, so no need to stay long. Reserved a nice place online for Warsaw. Also worked out the plan for the next six weeks. Kind of have to, since I am now halfway through, and still places I want to see. Scandinavia will be mostly by train. Only way to see much of the countryside in a decent amount of time. I figure I will spent about a third of my time moving. Total time. That is three night trains. Copenhagen should be fun, I hear they have an anarchist district. And I have to be in Glasgow by July 30 for the MacBackPackers tour. Oh, and I have found out what unemployed archaeologists in Germany do - lead tourists around. Gave me the explanations I wanted, about glacial till and bad farming. I think most of the other tourists were not as interested in that part as I was, but my daddy taught me well. And the glacial history made biking much easier. Berlin is a nice flat city. Figure I will learn about the Stassi and find the used English bookstore (sell or trade the ones I have accumulated, give them a good home as this hostel does not have a book exchange).
