Playing with Kittens
Aug. 24th, 2004 01:42 pmI traded my TV for kittens. And I think I got the better end of the deal. Saturday, my family (minus Dad) came down, took all the furniture that does not fit in my new apartment, and left kittens (and a smaller TV that fits perfectly). My new roommates are Niobrara (a light orange male with a white underbelly named after the limestone formation) and Ljubljana (a grey, tan and white calico named after the capital of Slovenia in order to annoy vets and all who try to pronounce her name). Or Barry and Lou for now. They are seven weeks old, and their eyes have not even changed color yet. Thankfully, unlike kids at this age, they can be left by themselves, because last night I got caught at Tom's for several hours because of heavy storms.
I have not done anything useful today. My excuse is a headache, but we all know I have just fallen into the laziness rut. Thankfully am not depressed in addition, but I have to think of something to excite me.
Got a good email today. While I was traveling, I left a little note with my email in all the books I had to leave behind. Sari with Sins was one of the first I left. It is a British chick lit book that really isn't that deep or interesting, but apparently people like it.
>Hi.
>My mate (a guy actually) picked up your book in Slovenia and took it on
>holiday with us to Croatia and Serbia before I took it to Hungary,
>England and here to Ireland. My house mate then took it on holiday to Vietnam
>so it's that end of the world now. Good book. Hope you here from it
>again soon!!
>Shelley xx
I am so proud.
