Trip Roundup

affrecaSo I'm actually working. In the sense of waiting for the computer to finish calculations. So I can go back and figure out why they're wrong.
So I went to San Francisco on fall break. As my work isn't demanding, and I only have class on Monday, we (![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
lawnchair and I) left a day early, Wednesday. No problems with flights, and got in early afternoon. Somehow I ended up carrying the bag of luggage at the end, as my seabag carries better as a backpack, and the straps don't fit the boy. We had no problems getting Tesia's apartment key from the doorman (he'd been warned), and a note on the door indicated we found the right place (I'd thrown away the piece of paper with the address on it).
We proceeded to wander Chinatown and North Beach. I managed not to buy anything, though I was mighty tempted by beads and brocade silk. In the end, I admitted I have lots of beads and silk that I should use up first.lawnchair bought socks.
Dinner was at Nanking House withjasmine_hammer. I had really good sesame chicken, and lawnchair's tofu had been fried in very hot oil, so had a flaky crust. Then hung out chatting with her for hours. By then Tesia had gotten in (she was out of town visiting her mother).
